My goal as an educator is to inspire students and introduce them to new ways of seeing the world, while helping them develop their own unique visual language. I aim to guide students in synthesizing their beliefs, knowledge, and artistic goals into their daily lessons, in order to create a deeper understanding of their personal experiences and to help them express those through art. Being part of their artistic journey and witnessing their growth is incredibly fulfilling to me. I believe that constant engagement with students eager to learn and discover is a source of inspiration. The creative process is crucial to the human psyche, and making high-quality art education accessible is essential. I am committed to helping students achieve their goals, develop their passions, and build a two-way relationship that challenges both them and me to grow.

Teaching is also a personal journey of discovery. My curiosity drives me to continue learning, sharing knowledge, and growing alongside my students. I strive to take a holistic approach by integrating diverse topics into the art curriculum. Rather than viewing students as mere products of grades and scores, I see them as individuals with unique interests and strengths. By bridging different subjects and creating a supportive environment, I aim to inspire students to take charge of their own future and view learning as an ongoing journey of growth.

In terms of classroom management, I aim to keep the classroom engaging by frequently alternating between direct instruction and student-led activities. For example, I use sketchbook prompts, reading guides, thinking routines, and other tools to encourage student participation and creative expression. I believe that when students have a positive and respectful relationship with their teacher, they become more interested and motivated in the subject matter. Therefore, inclusivity and a student-centered approach are core values in my teaching. I also recognize the importance of preparing students not only academically but socially and emotionally for their future.

I believe in setting clear expectations at the beginning of each course, reinforcing positive behavior through consistent, fair, and respectful interactions. By creating an environment based on mutual respect and accountability, I aim to provide students with a foundation that supports both their academic and personal development.

Ultimately, my goal is to cultivate an environment where knowledge flows freely between students and myself. Through exchanging ideas, exploring new perspectives, and learning together, I hope to contribute to their growth while expanding my own horizons along the way.
